    Suggestions for mini folding bike

I’m giving a second look at the Luna folding bike. I bet the rider weight limit is low, but if I lose 20 or so pounds... Owners of that bike claim that the BBSHD would be too powerful. I had a (non-electric) Tern that was pretty similar, so I wonder about the sturdiness of the folding mechanism...

Nice! How has your conversion worked out for you? Where did you get your kit?

    Suggestions for mini folding bike

I like the Brompton, but I weigh too much. Bike Friday makes a diamond frame that I considered, but they are pretty pricey. I thought that if a RadMIni frame is decent enough, I could do a BBSHD conversion later, if I needed to. I do ride dirt and a fatty would be much more fun than the...

    Suggestions for mini folding bike

I'm hoping to test ride the RadMini next month at Rad Power's store while on business in Seattle. I was blown away with my recent test ride of the Voltbike Mariner, but it would be nice to be able to ride the RadMini for comparison sake. Rad charges a hefty $400 to ship any Rad bike to Hawaii...

    Hello from ABQ NM

Thanks, but the rider weight limit for those is 250 lbs, and I will go over that. The Mariner only has a 500 W motor (I’m a little confused if it is the same motor as the 750 that Rad Power uses, since they had it re-branded from 500 to 750.) I do like the customer service that Rad Power...

    Long-term Radmini owners?

I’m considering a Radmini and wondering about the long-term reliability of the folding mechanisms. What issues have you had? What have you done for tire protection, especially if you live (as I do) in goat head land? Has anyone gone tubeless? Has anyone done a BBSHD conversion after the warranty...

    Suggestions for mini folding bike

One thing I can say about folding bikes- they are all heavy (except maybe a Brompton) and a motor makes it much worse to carry around. I had a Tern and the handlebar stem hinge went, but fortunately I bought it from REI and was able to return it. You have to be cautious about looking for cracks...

    Hello from ABQ NM

Hello from drive-thru territory! Not much in the way of ebike shops around here, so advise is what I’m looking for. I’ve gained tooo much weight in recent years (well, about 80 lbs since I bought a car as a replacement for my bike.) There are many very nice ebikes that I won’t buy because this...
