Replacement Batteries for 2013-2016 Turbo (non-Levo/Vado)

My battery actually says it's a B03, 13Ah/468Wh which contradicts your table.

Replacement Batteries for 2013-2016 Turbo (non-Levo/Vado)

The model year stuff is kinda confusing because who knows what model year their bike is? Mine was made in July 2014, I bought it in late 2016, and it has the B02 battery (also manufactured in 2014). It might be nice to have start and end production dates instead of model years.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

It is a good perk, but unfortunately it is a consequence of our ludicrously sprawled-out Silicon Valley corporate campus that necessitates 10-mile bike rides to attend meetings.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

I feel bad for people who don't know how to repair things.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Where I work we have a fleet of hundreds of Turbos, and I spoke with one of the mechanics today who said they expect to be about to source spares for five years, which is more or less congruent with the 2021 statement. As for DIY repairs I'm not afraid of them. There's no battery in the world...

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Well I don't feel like I'll be "screwed" even if I can't get factory replacement parts. The batteries inside these battery assemblies are off the shelf catalog parts. Open the case and put the latest technology inside in five years when yours is worn out.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Well yes, if you put a small Yes, if you put a smaller motor and battery on a bike then what you get is a bike that weighs under 50lbs, which is a magic point that opens up new possibilities. If I needed a vehicle that weighed so much that I couldn't take it on the bus or train, and that...

    The new turbo Vado 2017

I find the comparison to the Stromer ST2 amusing. That bike is so heavy, it's like carrying another bicycle with you. 50lbs is a magic number because at least where I live it is the load limit of bike racks on transit. 65lbs rules out the possibility of taking the bike on a bus or train. I...

Known Issues & Problems with Specialized Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

So, what do you want to know that isn't already covered in the threads of this forum? Are you trying to build up an FAQ or something? The main things that seem like outright defects are that the smaller charger doesn't work correctly with the battery on the base Turbo (I'm not sure about the...

Wish your Turbo S had front suspension?

 I find that I don't put any less into it when I'm on the e-bike. Which is a funny contrast because I don't even try when I'm riding my cargo bike. I just go at a walking speed everywhere.

@Tom Brossart are you breaking spokes on the front or rear?

Wish your Turbo S had front suspension?

I've been using Specialized carbon seatposts on all my bikes for ten years. They are brilliant. Those suspension posts will screw up your power delivery.

    Charging Turbo to Full Capacity

When the lights flash I just turn the bike on. That seems to fix.

    Charging Turbo to Full Capacity

In my experience the great big charger with all the cooling fins charges my bike so it reads 100%, and then turns off. The little one that looks like a laptop charger gets to 100% then continues doing something, and after a while the bike reads 98% and the charger flashes its fault light. I...

Replacing entire Turbo front brake system

I agree, I'm not looking for more stopping power. Most of my daily ride is on dirt, so I wouldn't need it. But my brakes get so overheated coming down the hill from my house that they start rubbing on bits of the caliper, and throbbing like they are warped (and they are). So I want something...

Adjusting Pistons for Brake Rub on Formula C1 (Turbo X)

Probably not a bad idea with new disc and pads, but with bedded pads a really poor idea!

Replacing entire Turbo front brake system

I think the brakes are the weak link in the Turbo model. They are really terrible. My original disc was worn below the 1.65mm limit in less than 2000km. I tried replacing the disc with an Avid g2, which didn't end well. On the first stop the disc was noticeably warped. Like an idiot, I...

Adjusting Pistons for Brake Rub on Formula C1 (Turbo X)

One thing I noticed about the Formula brakes is that the rubbing isn't coming from the pads, it's coming from the edge of the disc rubbing on the caliper body. There's a little notch worn into the caliper on mine. To prevent this I need to very carefully center the caliper.
