    Display Upgrade Shred

Here is a picture/brochure of the display I had before the 500C. Lots of info and nice layout. Liked it but the low profile of the 500C is nice.

    Shred Program Changes

Hey YYC, Will try to get out this weekend for a test ride or at the very least map the speed ranges in the torque table. The roads at my end of town are almost clear, not sure about the bike paths in the valley though.

    Display Upgrade Shred

Hey Feliz, You are correct, the first display I ordered was the "old DP C18 that only has 5 levels of assist available. I then ordered the "NEW" version of the 850C and its a nice display with 9 levels of assist. The 500C came in and I took the 850 off. I like the smaller display off to the...

    Shred Program Changes

Programming Changes - Torque Table Subsequent to the above, I put together a table to calculate the force on the pedals by a human to achieve 200 watts at various RPM. Notes on table 1 - Speed Zone is number on top of torque table, I am assuming this is pedal cadence. Will have to confirm...

    Shred Program Changes

Programming Changes - Torque Calibration. The next step in confirming/modifying the settings on my Shred controller is the kg / mv table in the upper section of the torque tab. I had noticed previously that my base voltage was set to 0 on the original settings and during testing, I have...

Is there a 3rd party higher capacity battery that will fit the Rook/Colt???

I just ordered the same two batteries as Robert. Will see what the delivery time is. For my wifes Rook - 20.4 AH and for my Shred 13.6 AH. As Robert Indicates, Susie is extremely helpful and ensures everything is clear over many emails. A great experience so far.

    Shred Program Changes

Got the 500C and it plugs in and powers up just fine. 9 levels of assist. I now have two displays that provide 9 levels. Will try them both into the summer and decide which one I like best. The other color one that only has 5 levels will go on my wifes bike. (rook/colt).

No Liv sub-forum so I'll ask here

Telkwa, That link is to the liv website. If you look down near the bottom, you will see a table that shows side release batteries. The table shows the number of cells, weight and dimensions are the same for the 400 and the 500. Same thing for the downtube battery. My understanding is they both...

No Liv sub-forum so I'll ask here

If you check the LIV site at: https://www.liv-cycling.com/global/campaigns/energypak-e-bike-battery/23296 The 400 or 500 seem to be interchangeable.

    Shred Program Changes

Vincent, The rook/colt have a larger capacity battery "holder" than the Shred. There are a couple places where you can get larger batteries that will work for them. Message me and I will send you a link if you want. But. As the guy that sold me my bike said when I told him I wanted to buy a...

    Shred Program Changes

Hey Vincent, I got my wife a rook and was looking at the colt for myself. When I got to the store I liked the look of the Shred better so ended up with it. One thing I noticed was she seemed to have an easier time going up hills than me. When I downloaded and compared the rook to the shred I...

Giant Road E+ review and questions

I see your other post regarding the 2018 and 2019. Its interesting as I have the 2018 and in Canada, it seems the 2018 is almost a duplicate to the 2019. Attached is spec sheet for it.

Giant Road E+ review and questions

I will let you know on the 12-28. I don't use the 11 tooth cog a lot and the only time I am in the very low gears is going up steep hills. Hopefully I can increase the assist level if required on a steep hill to compensate. I really like the bike as it meets my requirements. I put a rack on it...

    Shred Program Changes

Hi YYC, I ordered the 500C through Amazon with 3 day delivery. As soon as the order was confirmed, it swapped over to delivery by Jan. Bit if a bait and switch by the seller. I ended up ordering and getting the "New 850C" color display and it works for 9 levels. When the 500C eventually gets...

    Shred Program Changes

Continuing with the Programming. Basic Tab Changes I have made the following changes to the Basic Tab. Assist current levels have been spaced out to 30% from 1-7. Assist 8 and 9 are more or less to climb hills. All levels have had the limit speed eliminated by changing it to 100%. In essence...

    Shred Program Changes

After reviewing the levels of assist (0-9) and reading various forums, the general consensus is the 5 levels of assist offered by the Shred should line up with 1,3,5,7,9 in the software. To allow better testing as well as real time display of power consumption I ordered a color display for the...

    Shred Program Changes

I got a Shred earlier this year and have really enjoyed it. Subsequent to getting the Shred, I also got an electric assist road bike. One of the major differences that struck me between the two was the difference in how the assist was implemented. In general terms: Shred - Each assist level...
