Vado SL 6.0 won’t connect to the app

Hi, I own a Vado SL2 6.0 and currently have problems to connect the Specialized app to the bike . It worked before . Bluetooth on the bike does not seem to be active . I cannot enter either into the setup process at the bike itself . Tried to push the turbo selector and the button below this one but setup dialogue on the bike does not open . The app on my iPhone works well / is not the problem (I also have an older Vado SL 4.0 where the app connects immediately to the bike ). Any ideas on how to remediate it?

There is something you can try before the factory reset….make sure the auto lock is off, remove the bike from the app ( 3 dots in upper right on home screen), remove bike from your Bluetooth( may show as the last 4 numbers of you bikes s/n). Then try to reconnect accordingly to manual with the power on the bike if the app doesn’t see the bike, then you’ll have to do a factory reset, instructions for factory reset are in the manual

It is worth checking if the Specialized App is up to date.

When I bought my Vado SL (1), I could not connect the e-bike to (then) Mission Control: the photo depicts that very moment. The dealer was confused. Suddenly, I brightened up and just updated the app. (June 23rd, 2021)

Thanks, normally apps update themselves and I can connect to my Vado SL1 with the app but not the Vado SL2

We seem to be hearing a lot about SL 2 electrical issues in this and other SL 2 threads. Could just be sampling bias.

Assuming the SL 1 also had its electrical problems, though luckily none so far on mine.

It’s not just bikes, I think back to how many times I’ve had issues with televisions cellphones computers washer dryer and my cars and trucks with software issues,, me personally I’m glad I could get ride care on the phone for 30 minutes to get me through it
