For many of us, the photo-rich ride logs in the threads linked at bottom are the best part of EBR. They show how ebikes open up the world to riders of all kinds.

For understandable reasons, new file size limits on uploaded photos appear to have been imposed. Can we please have the specifics so we can downsize our photos accordingly?

I encountered that when I got a new camera in November. When I couldn't upload here, I realized the new camera produces way more pixels than my 2004 camera. The latest version of Mac Preview asks what size I want in inches. They mean at my display resolution. That's handy because I assume it will be viewed on a similar display. I've found that a size that will fit on my desktop display will probably be well under 1 MB.

Toen de meeste mensen een inbelverbinding hadden, bleef de man van mijn zus maar doorgaan met het e-mailen van 10 MB foto's naar lijsten met mensen die ze waarschijnlijk niet wilden zien. Nu iedereen breedband heeft, mailt mijn zus alleen nog maar 30 kB thumbnails.

Problem is, it's totally invisible to search within the forum. No hits on any keyword in the thread title or in any post therein.

For example, searching on "synchronous" or "tempo" or "groove" or "music" should get plenty of hits in this thread, but not a single one! And other members can't find it, either.

An indexing issue, perhaps? Didn't accidentally ignore or unwatch it.

Did some more digging. Looks like forum search isn't finding ANYTHING posted after August 25, 2025 or so.

Search is an extremely important tool in a forum where useful info is shared among members. Can't very well recommend searching on X when it's seriously broken.
