Funhang EB-1 starship

I've jumped into the Ebike world of the 21st century with my inexpensive Funhang EB-1. I had zero Ebike experience prior to this very recent experience so I didn't want to take out a seventy two month loan on a galaxy class Ebike. So, I was thrown back in my seat and the scenery blurred in front me and my knuckles turned white while grasping the handlebar grips when I hit the level #1 setting on the LCD control panel. In a matter of seconds I was traveling much closer to the speed of light albeit an impressive 17 MPH which is 7 MPH faster than my non Ebike average speed. I am hooked for life and hope I don't unlock the programmed maximum speed limit so that I do not end up on a dirt trail being chased by a T-Rex having been thrown back in time or find myself thrown forward in time navigating a post apocalyptic future Earth where everyone is blond and thin and have cellphones implanted into their craniums. GREAT BICYCLE for the money.
P.S. Since I am sixty two years young and a disabled veteran, US Marine Corps and US Army, this new E-biking experience was sort of an answer to a prayer. I'll still use my folding bikes on easy flatter grounds but my new Ebike is unstoppable and easily conquers that one hill inside the park that was my archnemesis. 28 miles behind me now and the battery is still showing a full charge since I always pedal through about 90% of my mileage. That one hill is where I always hit the WARP DRIVE button.

Delivery fee of $169 is kind of stiff, I wonder what happens there. if you send the bike back, they keep the fee? Hopefully no need to send it back.

I don't think our laughing OP is AI though, Just drunk with the power of ebiking..

I do remember my first test ride on an ebike at Crazy Lenny's Ebikes in Madison, WIsconsin, Ten years ago. "Wow", I said. "these things should sell themselves".

A demo at a holiday gathering has most of my family riding ebikes now. In contrast, when my senior peers (Class of '66 if you care) tried riding them, most of them fell over and lost interest. I dunno, Maybe my family has biking in our blood.

Well, at least one person on this planet has faith in humorous dialog. I guess I'll just focus on the few good people left on our planet and ignore the rest. Ya, the $160 shipping fee seems steep until you look at websites like Alibaba and a $200 product or bike can cost $600-$800 to ship to the US from China or Vietnam or wherever. My bike came from New Jersey and came by FedEx in about five days. That's cheap for a heavy and huge box of steel and parts. I did the research and there are decent replacement batteries for many models similar or the same as my bike with just a different brand name slapped on it. Maybe it cost $100 to ship and they just pocketed the extra $60?

P.S. Maybe no one looked at my user name? "He-who-laughs-last"?? Maybe I am too old and remember too many humorous things from my past to be on this website.

Which color did you get? I see four colors offered. I suppose for that kind of low price a person can take a chance on quality without too much concern. But "Funhang"? Sheesh, what a brand name! Sounds rather suggestive.... 😄

I bought the white Funhang bicycle since if in the future I decided to "one up" to the next level bike, I could sell it easier or give it to my big sister. I like the step through frame since I keep the seat set very high so that the tip of my toes just touch the ground. Ya, our knowledge of Asian names, first and or last names, will get us in trouble when trying to pronounce them with our alphabet. I imagine "Funhang" isn't pronounced the way it appears to us. I think I would have added an "er" to make it the "Funhanger" bike. Ha! So far I have taken it to the park twice this week and logged 28 miles and the battery is still showing 100%. But, I am used to pedaling all of the time on my folding regular bikes so I only use the "Warp Drive" button a few times on each fourteen mile round trip. So far so good for this first timer Ebike lover.

Pay no attention to the ignorance of the site SS Commandant.
He rarely has anything positive to say unless you ride one of the master race of ebikes and participate in the never ending circle jerk of posting ride statistics. 🙃

There are always one or two a--holes on every forum no matter the subject matter. I just don't like seeing negative post after post after post in various threads from the same people. I know from my experiences in life and in the military that there's always people who always want to be perceived as "tough" so they are always abrasive.
