I just got my pound of bagel baking poppy seeds. There are about 3,300 seeds per gram x 453 grams per pound = 1,500,000 seeds. So if only 2% sprout there will be 300,000 amazing flowers in that field by Spring. They came through the Netherlands. And they should self-cross pollinate and re-germinate annually.
