Specialized App

I have an iPhone 14 Pro and use the Specialized App (not Mission Control) and have 2 issues with it.
Hope someone can help:
1. Screen goes black after several minutes - I've looked in settings, but can't see anything to change this. I don't want to have to set the whole phone on non-lock, because I'm bound to forget to put it back and it's a pain.
2. Why doesn't the map follow my route? I physically have to move it to see where I am.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Up date: Thanks to another post on this forum, I found how to keep the app open.

Can't help with Apple, but on Android, when recording a ride select Settings and select Keep the Screen On. To center the ride select the button shown on the map.

Now, try doing that with gloves when it is cold..........

Edit: Sorry, missed the update.........

No probs. It always makes me chuckle ironically when in winter, I launch the activity app on my phone, launch the Specialized app, put my glove back on and then try to start cycling without too much time rolling on the two devices...

Must be missing something here. I use the Specialized app on every ride. Why does the "time rolling" matter? When I hit the record button standing still, recording pauses automatically.

Too true. I just have it in my head that I have to pedal as soon as possible. I keep forgetting that it pauses when I stop. Must be my age... at least that's my excuse!

I got some conductive thread so I can still use my index finger with gloves on. It makes that dance a lot easier.

It only requires the most basic sewing skills, a needle, and some conductive thread.
