I'm 75, not quite as spry as at 70, looking for a dependable off-road fat tire bike. The Biktrix Stunner LT 7 with 24" tires looks promising but am finding no one who's posted any reviews about it. It's semi step-through (not as low as some) and looks like it'll climb hills. I'm wondering if any...
Today I received my second XP 2.0.
The first one, delivered last week, had battery and keys included in the same box. The second xp was delivered today with no battery and no key.
The no key part has me a little concerned. Should I be? (Lectric is closed on weekends, or I'd call them. I did...
My first Lectric arrived last week. Battery and keys were included. I was riding 2 hours later. Love it.
The second Lectric just arrived, no battery, no keys. There is no notice of an impending delivery.
Main concern: is it typical for the keys to arrive with battery?
I tried calling Lectric...
Thanks for all your thoughts and comments! Rather than attempt a fix now, I'll be getting a bike repair stand this Saturday which I think should make the whole operation easier. I'll take all your advice - deflate the tire, break the bead and align the inner tube. Rear brake engaged, of course.
My Lectric was delivered last night and all components seem to be in good working order other than the way the rear air valve stem is protruding from the rim. Compared to the front tire stem, the rear stem isn't completely pulled out. Plus, it leans at an angle. The front stem protrudes straight...
@PedalUma, evidently there are two speeds - sitting down and standing up! As you say, perfect for a Florida beach town, but I want a few more gears. Supposedly one of my Lectrics is arriving next Wednesday. No word yet on the second. Looking forward to taking it for a spin! As I (try to) grasp...
@PedalUma, today I learned: quill stem, nominal drain rate vs range. The path to Zen Garden of Less has led me to this - https://ride1up.com/product/roadster-v2/
Could be an excellent intro to ebiking without all the clutter of more!
@PedalUma So you finished that bike for the CEO in about 3 days from start to finish? It's beautiful. Could those handlebars be reversed? More like a cruiser? I only ask because it would probably help my creaky back sit up straighter and creak less. But that's just me imagining my self riding...
@alphacarina, good to know you're working it! You're describing my plan exactly, and I intend to stick to it once the bike finally arrives. I rode my first (borrowed) ebike a couple days ago and the seat was a couple inches too low to get a full leg rotation, so peddling was putting undue stress...
The one time my motorcycle slid out from under me was on a gravel road at about 5 mph. My full face helmet saved the side of my face and chin from a bad case gravel rash. I had always thought that in a low speed wipeout, I'd know how to tumble to protect myself. So wrong. And so grateful to have...
@mjeds, you're living proof that ebikes can be the right tool for building better health. Until I read what you just shared, I was having second thoughts about getting one, wondering if I was just going to get lazy using it (if it ever comes!). Your story is inspiring. Now gonna read this entire...
Way to go, Indianajo! What you're saying is very heartening! Though my knees aren't 100%, bicycle peddling has definitely helped them get through periods of pain as well as maintained strength. I want to do same with an ebike. Thanks for sharing!
