Ah yes, I can imagine the confusion about a mile being....not a mile hehe :) And, we do indeed measure fuel consumption as litres per mile - the "Scandinavian way" :)
Thanks :) It's why I felt the need to explain "10 to 15 miles (100 to 150 km)". A mile in Norway/Scandinavia equals 10 km. It gets confusing....as you would use Km when talking about speed but usually not the distance (if the distance is greater than a few km). If you drive a car from Oslo to...
I hope it's alright if I reply to this old thread? I have a Superdelite with Fox suspension and apart from the odd pedal strike, the hight of the bottom bracket seems perfectly fine. The bike is used for daily commute as well as going bike touring - and it is rather impressive in that regard. We...
Thanks for what seems to be a good idea! Initially I thought about something similar, such as fixing it to the frame with velcro, but it's not possible as the support sticks out behind the frame:
I believe the Rohloff hub is 36 spoke and the front 32 :)
The front hub has a thru-axle with quick release. Riese & Müller used to equip the back whhel with a standard quick release as well, but now it's just an allen bolt of sorts.
Added: Yes, there has been the occasional pedal stroke, but...
As a Superdelite owner I can confirm your first point - the bike is heavy :) However, the geometry is fairly sporty so it's not a problem riding it aggressively on even loose surfaces such as gravel and forrest roads. You can "lay down" the bike underneath you when turning in hard and fast, and...
Congratulations with you new bicycle CyclingDan 👍
When I charge my batteries this occasionally happen and I really have no idea why. When it stops charging it says a 100% charge. But in the morning when I turn the bike on again it sometimes appears with only 96% charge. Maybe it uses a little...
I can agree with that! May I also add that with a healthy dose of rebound one can also avoid "packing" the dampers and the bike will feel quite stiff - which is no bad thing.
A quick update on the latest change to the Superdelite. The Selle Royal seat is gone in favour of a Brooks B17. The Selle seat was ok for short distances, but there was always an issue with numbness - typically with casual trousers. Apart from this minor gripe the real problem was on longer...
It does happen here as well I'm afraid. The new combined foot paths and bike lanes much better though and are physically separeted as the foot path are raised a foot or so from the bike lane. It does seem to work much better than the old ones which has no separation.
Yesterday was the official opening day for "the world's longest bicycle tunnel" in my hometown Bergen (Norway). Today however, you could walk, run or use the bicycle going through the tunnel. It connects to the new bycycle lane going to the center of town and is just brilliant and very...
Changed brake pads on the rear brake today and swapped the winter tyres for Johnny Watts tyres. Gave the bike a good clean and it feels great again!
I love this bicycle!
