I come from a BMX background where I practiced "spinning" on a daily basis. I don't have big legs so I needed fast legs to keep up.

I'm not an engineer that knows the math and exact reasons for this, all I can say is from my experience with multiple BBSHD builds that I'm finding the best performing front sprocket size to be 38-42T.

For anyone interested, I posted a video on YouTube of my ASAEspeed 32.14 in action. Shows the glitches and speed performance.

Lower teeth on the front sprocket means lower gearing. It also means more power... In this case I think the 46 tooth sprocket was too high and was working the motor too hard. Kind of like downshifting in a car to gain speed... More speed isn't all about gears, it's more about matching power...

That's a tough one. I didn't think turning a $1500 bike into a $2200 bike was that bad, especially considering the performance gains.

I have the 17" frame. The dolphin pack will not fit, but the shark pack fits nicely.
