    NEW: Radwagon just released

While i don't know what is involved when working with IGG or KS, Radpower never seemed to embrace the craziness that is involved with a big crowd funding campaign. I personally like how they used crowd funding to get their name out there, and then switched to their own internal systems as soon...

    NEW: Radwagon just released

I'm in San Diego too, i'd be happy to come by and compare the RR with the RW and I'd like to see the RW anyways.

    Radrover my RadROLLER!

Yeah, your trajedy serves as a good reminder for other members though, these bikes are heavy and shouldn't be treated the same as a regular bike.

    Radrover my RadROLLER!

I should mention that the weight max for those Easyfold Thule models are 65lbs per bike. So you're right on the edge of the max weight limit with these Radrovers. In hindsight, probably should have added some extra strapping or retainment when using these bikes on those racks.

Any RadRover contributors out there ?

I think the gods are trying to make it as difficult as possible for you to get your bike. But yeah, bring a knife to the post office so you can break down the box in the parking lot if need be. The front wheel is already detached and the handle bars are loose, so if you can fold down your rear...

    LCD display opinions?

I'd consider the LCD a requirement, it's really really useful on the Radrover. I toggle the PAS constantly during my rides depending on the terrain. I also like the motor wattage readout, gives me an idea of how hard I'm making the motor work.

    NEW: Radwagon just released

Based on my Radrovers performance, I think with a single rider the Radwagon could handle that hill easily and it definitely fits the bill as a car replacement especially for your RV trips. That said, if you're carrying two people and trying to go up a steep hill, depending on how heavy you two...

    NEW: Radwagon just released

I think it's more of a function of US laws, anything over 20mph is considered a motor vehicle, so any motor assist is limitted to speeds under 20mph. With a 750W motor, the radrover certainly has enough juice to go above 20mph if the controller allowed it. Those kits you mention probably aren't...

    NEW: Radwagon just released

Based on my experience with the Radrover, the PAS seems to be governed by the speed. When you're peddling, the motor will work as hard as it needs to to put you at a certain speed. PAS3 puts you around 15mph, PAS4 puts you at 17mph, and PAS5 puts you at 20mph. When you're above that speed, PAS...

    NEW: Radwagon just released

Agreed, great price for a cargo bike, I really like it. Had I known this would be their next offering and at that price point, I might have skipped on the Radrover and gotten this instead!

What kind of Battery Range you getting?

I usually peg it at PAS 4 on the flats ~17mph, and on the longer moderate hills drop down to PAS3 ~15mph. There's one steep hill where I go down to PAS1 ~10mph. So for my bike, i'd estimate a range of 25ish miles with a moderate quantity of hills using PAS.

What kind of Battery Range you getting?

I do a 14 mile round trip commute up (and down) several large hills, using PAS the whole way. At the end, the battery is ~3 bars. My guess is i'd get another 10 miles out of it. One member was talking about doing a range test with just throttle, with a constant speed, and on flat ground.

Any RadRover contributors out there ?

I see a similar characteristic with the battery gauge, it seems to be logarithmic. On the way to work, my 7 mile commute will show 5 bars at the end (4 bars under load) using PAS 4 most of the way. However on the way home, it'll drop 3 bars to 2 bars. I've never done a full range test, but my...

Any RadRover contributors out there ?

Anyone do a full breakdown of the bike and have any maintenance recommendations? For instance, i was thinking about trying to repack the bearings since I heard that new bikes usually are short of grease. Would be nice if someone else had done it and had some observations. Any other areas come...

    This is my Radrover...

Most folks thought it was really cheap. A lot of folks here own road or mtn bikes, so they appreciated the 1k price tag.
