Loosened the cane creek steering damper on the Predator. It is much easier to ride and steer without the damping effect, and it doesn't take very much to effect the steering. Skinnier tires and no damping makes for a much more enjoyable ride.

Traded the Electrak Griptons 51x622 for some Blackburn 35x622 on the Vado. Just say no to fat tires. Much less noticeable rolling resistance. These thinner tires kind of remind me of the tires on the first 10 spd 50 yrs ago, not too thin, not too fat. And had to make a trip with the thinner...

Anybody been inside their Gen 1 motor? The forward pedaling on mine takes more effort than I'd like, rearward is fine, forward not so. Everything is still smooth, no noises, I'd say working 100% as should. Wondering if there is something a guy could lube up as preventative maintenance or such.

Got to lace up a 14 ga spoked rim, it is so much easier than the 12 or 10 ga. In the end though there are a lot of similarities:)
