Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Really liking this kickstand. Well worth the $24 usd.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Re my above posts about the battery, I have not had any problems after I looked at it. I believe expanding the female contacts in the battery that contact the male on the bike have resolved the blackout issue. I did replace the kickstands on the Vado and Como 5. One had the plastic portion...

Turbo Vado 5: too unstable on the kickstand

My como kickstand took a dump. Hauling groceries, guess it couldn't take the heat. The info on this thread helped me find one and order through amazon. Here is a pick of the original and broke piece. If Spec is going to charge top notch prices, they need to use top notch pieces. Hollow...

How much difference do street tires make compared to knobbies

I've done it. I'd say noticeable to lots.

    Candle makers amass

For straight bees wax, the wax temp has to be just above solidifying temp to prevent voids and do a slow pour. And heating temp is supposed to be non too excessive or it messes up the wax somehow (not my experience, just what Ive read). After it’s all melted I let it cool to 146f and start...

    Turbo Vado 5.0 Three-year review

When I first purchased my vado and como about the same time I changed the rotors out for 200mm units. One of the best upgrades along with changing the 48t ring out for the 36t. Thanks for the detailed report. How many miles total?

My New Globe Haul ST (2 weeks Old now)

Those little tires give the sensation of power, and require the larger front chainring to compensate.

Do you support the US federal E-BIKE act?

I saw somewhere the ships that transport 'stuff' across the oceans spew much more stuff into the atmosphere than vehicles ever will. Maybe targeting the wrong avenue.

Lectric XP - Correct Threading Die

Thought it was a no go when the dia was different. Good for your resourcefulness. Another reason to keep the tools, never sell the tools!

    Cannabis, how is it legalized?

Funny how cannabis separates the brain neurons and the person becomes unemotional. Whereas psychedelic mushrooms rewire the neurons for enhanced brain activity. I'd vote for the shrooms.

Does Anyone have experience using a suspension seat post with a sprung saddle?

I've used the thudbuster lt with the brooks b67. Works well. Used a little stiffer rubber than what thudbuster recommends. The thudbuster moves the seat back a little and I didn't like the increased reach or I might still be using that setup.

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

I just watched a vid on that yesterday. Looks pretty impressive. Makes my 3 or 4 yr old Como and Vado5 look like antiques already.

    Ebike Chain Lubes

I did a 50 mile wipe down of my chain after the EP gear oil application to get an idea of how much stuff it was attracting. Didn't notice any real accumulation of dirt though I suppose there was some. I think the thing to do is wipe it down after the application to remove any extra that...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Thanks for that info. Seems mine creak off and on. Just did the first round town 23 miler on the Vado equipped with the B67. No ass issues and I wear cargo pants. Gotta love that seat:)

Lectric XP - Correct Threading Die

I'd find a bike shop that has the tools. I see Park Tool has the die for $290 and the rest of the stuff to do it with probably. Park tool might have a list of places that could do it or they may be able to.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Last couple days I've ridden/rode/driven the Cattrike Expedition. It's a fun machine. On those long uphill ascents I was looking for the + button on the handlebar. Just have to grit it out:)

Lectric XP - Correct Threading Die

Or use the die, put it in a socket, put an extension on the socket so you can eyeball the assy and keep it in line with the tube, use cutting oil or some lubricant, and go at it! Good luck and be careful. Getting it started straight is the trick and how much thread there is to cut may effect...

    Ebike Chain Lubes

Don’t think so. Just stirring the pot 😁. I do think there are s lot of generalities being made though. One being there is one best lube for the job.

Lectric XP - Correct Threading Die

That might be something to do on a lathe. Once you find the correct die.

    Ebike Chain Lubes

I have yet to see a test where someone took a chain apart and showed us the debris inside, or cleaned the outside of a chain then recleaned it again and showed the debris inside a chain, all which sounds like almost impossible. Now I ride on pavement, if my chain ever got to the point of...
