When you replaced your original G06 motor with the G062, was the replacement plug and plug and did you have to remove the whole thing (casing) and relace the new motor inside instead ?
For France (and I would think Europe), better to either know how to perform basic service on you bike or have competent local bike shop around.
Other than than, Rad offers great value for the price. Can't complain, did a few mods here and there to fit my needs.
Just thought to add my own experience in case future users would like to have additional information. I quickly converted to tubeless tires using the split tube method (also called ghetto style).
I used this exact method showcased in this YouTube video (easy setup) :
You don't have to use...
I only use low PA for the city or long distance rides (over 100 miles with extra batteries). For the city, for obvious safety reasons and longer rides to save battery.
That being said, I would be curious to see an extensive review on this kit.
I have a Rhino (Rover), I converted to a tubeless system (ghetto tubeless with slashed tubes). Currently using Schwalbe Jumbo Jim, but I have used this system with the stock tires as well.
Repairing small punctures has been a bliss (got 3 in the last 4000 km / 2500 miles), effortless.
I have the Juintech calipers on my Rhino (Rover) 5, it's mostly like Timpo said. Stopping power is about the same as the stock calipers. Feel from the levers is the same since you retain the same cables.
Though, since calipers are hydraulic, they adjust themselves as the pads wear down. I...
I agree. When I'm in the low end of my battery life, I have to ride at lower PAS because there's just not enough voltage left in the cells to sustain a higher load.
The exact same phenomenon happened as OP described.
I wouldn't bet everything on being able to go 1500W on a sustain manner...
I have a spare chain, just buy any 7 speed chain, it should be compatible. As for length, just measure from the old chain when you're gonna take it off. That's what I usually do.
So far, I have about 3000 miles, stock chain's still looking good.
From my experience on the Rad Rhino (Rover for the US name) that I bought last year (so that would be the Rover 5).
It seems to be the same as the US one when I first derestricted the stock controller. Got similar performance with the updated controller.
Later on, I changed the motor for the...
I think Rad's biggest priority should be customers' service.
Despite the increasing competition, Rad will still retain for some time the top spot, in order to stay there, they need to leave satisfied their current customers. Best promo ever.
I remember when I bough my bike a little over a...
For now, I had to put my spare Jumbo Jim 4" on the front wheel because my Kenda tire gave out yesterday. Second puncture in less than a month and this one couldn't get fully sealed with my tubeless liquid sealant. So I decided to change the tire since I have to use my bike pretty much everyday...
Thanks. I've seen users successfully switching to 3 inches tires.
I was wondering for 2.25" due to the larger choice of tires. Probably next year, I'll change for 3" tires after using my current Jumbo Jim ones (which should last longer than the Kenda stock ones according to reviews).
I already replaced my rear tire with a Jumbo Jim 26x4 on my rear wheel. I have another one waiting for the front wheel.
I've been mostly riding my Rad Rhino (Rover) on pavement, I was wondering if anyone has tried to fit 2.25 wide tires.
On a forum like this, we are most likely gonna see a over representation of advanced users. A bigger proportion of users here have already upgraded one way or another our Rad bikes which isn't the case for the general population which have left their Rad bikes untouched and rightfully so since...
