Make sure you have have a stem cutter, (2020 Explore had a tapered stem and all new forks need to be custom cut. I feel it was worth the cost but it wasn't cheap. I did everything myself and you can expect a budget of $300 - $400 USD
I change the (very lame) factory front suspension fork for a Fox suspension unit and its the single biggest improvement I've made to my 2020 Explore E+
Fox Flow 32 29".
That's a nice tire rcdanner. My Big Apple tires have proven to be reliable and surprisingly capable on most everything but tiny-grain gravel roads. I ride extra cautious thru those spots. I don't know about mud. I don't do mud.
I'm assuming that a tire lever is a part of everyone's mobile toolset. I have put ON a set of tires without any lever but it's not easy nor recommended. Taking OFF a bike tire I use a lever. Still it's Easy Pleasey Lemon Squeezy
NEW LISTINGBosch E-Bike Frame battery PowerTube 500 Vertical, 500 Wh BARGAIN electric bikes
Just saw this on ebay. Brand new bosch battery for $100. I don't know if these add are real but they are out there.
Didn't realize that total distance calculation would be in error but that makes sense. I'm running plus size tires (Big Apple 700c X 60mm) that already throws calculations way off and I never known the factory RideControlOne to be accurate on distance/speed even when it was stock new. I keep...
Yes I found the BadAssBox 4 to be perfect for my 2020 Explore E+. (I use a free GPS app for 'realtime' Speed, location, etc.) If I come upon a Class 1 only access route it takes 10 seconds to slide the BadAssBox4 off. Of course you need to have spoke magnets to begin with.
Beautiful bike. I'm currently snowbound with travel/touring at a standstill but confident this Spring freedom rules. If I could do-over your bike would be at the top my list.
My experience is that WIFI is only necessary to download the latest app. After that it's Bluetooth from phone app to Bike. My garage is well outside of my home's wifi range and I've always updated my bike in the garage. I could be in error but I don't think I get a wifi signal out to the garage.
Murrdenn, pardon me but why don't you just install drop drown bars on your Explore 2? I would think one should be able to do that in about five minutes.
I suspect the only difference between the Explore E+ and the Amiti E+ is the marketing. They appear to be identical bikes to me. I recommend that you DON"T test ride a STA frame eBike because once you do the veil will be lifted from your eyes and the standard high bar (male) eBike just seems...
The local Fire Dept. if it's a serious threat. Hard for companies to hide those type of events. A battery overheats in a airline overhead compartment and the whole worlds hears about it.
Obviously you haven't considered the Step Thru Access option of the Explore. I understand the male stigma of riding a 'girls bike' but I decided to go that route rather than accepting a small frame bike that doesn't fit. Right decision for me and I would never consider anything but a Step Thru...
