2025 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

It’s been years since I’ve been on a mountain bike and I’m enjoying this bike very much! Very comfortable, very easy to ride, and REI has been great to deal with.

Co-op Cycles DRT e3.1 Electric Mountain Bike

First few days with the DRT e3.1 and having a ton of fun. Can't believe how nice this bike is. I have been riding commuter and gravel e-bikes the last few years and hadn't been on a MTB in 20+ years. What I've noticed: full suspension ride very compliant, brakes super responsive, smooth...

    Vancouver BC hotel/riding info request

Thanks for the tips, Blake. I am so close to Vancouver, I may plan to make a day trip outside of the busy May to September season. I take the Seawall path is mixed pedestrians and bikes and it must be jammed full with tourists in the summer months?

    Vancouver BC hotel/riding info request

Greetings, all. Related question about Vancouver Hotels and ebiking, please. I'm based in Washington State and haven't been in Vancouver in years. Friends have invited me to be their guest in August staying at Fairmont Waterfront near Canada Place. I'd like to bring my own e-bike (EVELO Atlas.)...

    Rear View Mirror for Bike

Ha-ha, no kidding, I initially had to adjust the mirror to get out of MY OWN way. I wasn't going to bring this up but as they say, objects in the rearview mirror may be larger than they appear. :) Also, reminds me of the snarky, funny SNL parody, Pelotaunt.

    Rear View Mirror for Bike

Hello @gizmoboy, I think you have what you need. For my Atlas I made a custom assembly using the top half of the Meachow mirror along with the bottom half of the Mirrycle mirror. I'm absolutely delighted, the mirror orientation is in the perfect position and is infinitely adjustable yet firm...

Hello, WFG, and welcome to the forums. I have both a heavy chain and an Abus folding lock and use them in different applications. I ordered the Abus folding lock keyed alike to my battery lock and store the lock in its holster attached to frame's bottles bosses.

Garmin Varia RTL510 Radar Tail Light Bundle - Initial Impression

@ROJA, yep, still loving the Garmin Radar Tail Light system- I use it every single ride. I've recharged both components many, many times and everything is working well. I had a fun experience recently where a very athletic, very accomplished bicycle racer approached from behind and took a moment...

    New Como 5.0

Hi. I have a 2019 Turbo Como 5.0. As I recall, my model came with a front "pizza" rack and no rack in back. I really liked the idea of the quick sliding attachment of the MTX trunk bag. My LBS acquired the correct model Topeak rack (compatible with hydraulic brakes, no "mousetrap" spring bar...

    New Como 5.0

@Onegraham, 800 miles in 8 weeks, what an impressive start! Approaching 1500 miles on my Como 5.0, which I received in November 2019.

    New Como 5.0

The bulky rectangle on the down tube is a heavy duty, folding bike lock by Abus. While researching bike lock options, it seemed a step up compared to the traditional cable bike locks which are so easily defeated. FYI, Abus produces the lock that holds the Specialized battery in place so I had my...
