    Unexpected motor shutdowns

I too am somewhat perplexed. It still smells a bit like battery to me. A battery can fully charge and show the 54.6V and still have some weak or defective cells. Applying enough current can cause the voltage to sag enough to trigger LVC. A couple of thoughts (and I'm grasping here) If you can...

    Unexpected motor shutdowns

After reading thru all this - symptoms, etc., my (un)professional opinion is that you are reaching LVC on the battery or controller which is causing the shutdowns. This could be due to a worn out or defective battery. I'm not sure why one would ride in PAS 6 all the time.At that level, you are...

Known Issues & Problems with NCM Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

When it is necessary to replace the Das-Kit controller, a few folks have chosen to spend the money on a more capable (programmable, higer amperage, etc.) controller and display. Can be a bit of work to get all the connections right, physically locate the controller on the bike, etc., but there...

Ncm Moscow motor starting to become very noisy, should I worry?

I'm sure many of we Das-Kit owners would be interested in how this works out....as we likely will deal with it at some point. If you have time, maybe take some pics along the way to share? If worse comes to worst and you need to relace a new motor into your wheel, I'm sure you can do it. I had...

Any way to remove pedal assist? + pedal moves forward with bike

You are using the KT with the Das-kit? Which model and did you need to get a new display? Does it all work well?

Any way to remove pedal assist? + pedal moves forward with bike

Agree 100 percent with this. I have heard of lots of folks accidentally having the bike take off after power up when it is in PAS 1 and they accidentally move the pedals. A real safety issue IMHO. I will say that replacing the freewheel is not that difficult and may be preferable to butchering...

What do bars on the display actually mean on NCM Moscow?

Those bars are a crude voltmeter that just represent the state of charge of the battery between the max (54.6) and the min (40V??). Someone may know exactly what voltage each bar level represents. However, if you want more precision re voltage, I suggest a small digital voltmeter. If you want...

Moscow Plus motor life / maintenance

A mechanic at one of the dealers once told me in the neighbourhood of 10,000Km,,,but I'm sure some get more and some less. I believe the Das-Kit motor is a rebranded MXUS -- so should see the same chracteristics. I personaaly have about 6,000Km on mine.
