    Admitted Faulty Product Design

Yesterday I strapped my new 52 V battery onto my cross current S and went for a bike ride. I hit all sorts of bumps without any loss of power. I had a blast with all that power. Back up a few days and the situation was not so great. There was no way to make the battery fit. I called Juiced...

Does anyone know exactly what is different about the CCX battery holder? I assume that new batteries would be the same as the batteries sold with the CCX.

10 speed drivetrain upgrade with derailleur clutch for CC, CCS

I finished the upgrade. After a bike mechanic tuned the derailleur, the shifting was fine. Even without engaging the clutch the RD has a very strong pull. I liked the extra 36 toothed cog and used it more than I expected. I removed my chain catcher and had no chain drops on today's 20 mile ride.

10 speed drivetrain upgrade with derailleur clutch for CC, CCS

I'll answer my own question. Put WD40 on a rag and wipe down the chain. This way leaves the SDRAM lub inside the chain and removes the tacky external lub. I got this from https://forums.mtbr.com/drivetrain-shifters-derailleurs-cranks/anyone-know-what-new-sram-chain-lubed-768847.html

10 speed drivetrain upgrade with derailleur clutch for CC, CCS

The SRAM chain is very tacky out of the box. I thought the chain manufacturers shipped chains prelubed but it is a dirt magnet. Any suggestions?

10 speed drivetrain upgrade with derailleur clutch for CC, CCS

I installed the new shifter. If I have it right, it fits well with the tektro brake.

10 speed drivetrain upgrade with derailleur clutch for CC, CCS

The shifter has me puzzled. I will have to read the instructions. Will my old cable housing work?

    New Tires for Juiced CCS2

I liked the Kendra stock tires and rode them until the cords were showing. I could not find the same Kenda tires so I bought Schwalbe Marathon tires and I like them. I could not find them on the internet but the local bike store did. Here is everything written on the sidewalls: Schwalbe...

    Latest mirror advice?

I have a left side haftny mirror that is mounted on the left side and is above the Jones bars. That position is closer to my eye and is not blocked by my left hand. It has served me well for quite a while.

    Latest mirror advice?

The Haftny mirror works very well on my Jones handlebars. I will never go back to helmet or eyeglass mirrors.

    Removing rear wheel

I bought a deep socket and used a bench grinder to open up the side of the socket. This allows me to use my torque wrench to meet JB’S SPEC OF 45 NM.

    Be smart, be safe

I use a DH (down hill) helmet: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KW4HWQ8/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The chin guard comes off and that is how I use it now. I don’ t mind the extra weight and my higher speeds keep my head cool.

    CCS SR Suntour Suspension Forks

Tire pressure will have a major impact on ride comfort. I am using the stock Kenda tires. My opinion is that 60 psi is way too hard. My front tire is soft (about 40 psi). I have no handling problems with this low pressure. Because I am using a Bodyfloat seatpost I have inflated the rear tire to...
