    Superdelite Replacement key question

My 2020 Superdelite came with the key shown on the right side of your picture and it is called “YourPlus”.

Looking to get a spare Gates belt for my Multicharger

I installed a new front sprocket today and as you said Ken the wear was very obvious and I would say significant. Perhaps one of the reasons for such wear is that the front sprocket is aluminum which is soft and will wear with grit between the sprocket and belt like sandpaper. The rear sprocket...

    Superdelite purchase

In early 2020, I had the same idea for a retirement “gift” - Superdelite GT Rohloff with Fox Float and Kiox Cockpit. This was in the early days of Covid and my purchase was made “online” and involved phone discussions with the bike shop. The Superdelite is a wonderful bike and you will love...

Looking to get a spare Gates belt for my Multicharger

Ken, thanks! l have been looking at the wear on both sprockets and they are definitely looking well worn (approximately 16,000 km on them). I will need to change them before I start cycling again this spring. I will probably need to get a new belt as well.

Looking to get a spare Gates belt for my Multicharger

When the belt broke it was a clean snap and I don’t think it was a wear issue. I was biking along a flat stretch of path and came to a road which had an uphill section which was part of my route. When I hit the hill, I was in 10th gear (Rohloff hub) and “eco” power. Rather then gear down (which...

Looking to get a spare Gates belt for my Multicharger

When my belt broke early in 2021 (after about 9,000 km), I could not find any local source for a replacement in Canada. My bike shop suggested SJS Cycles in the UK. They had the correct size for my SuperDelite and shipped promptly. As David suggested, you need to know the number of teeth for...

    Rohloff e-14 oil leak

I have had my Superdelite with Rohloff hub since April 2020 and currently have experienced 15,200 km of great biking. I have changed the hub oil myself twice over that time and have not experienced any leaks. I love the Rohloff hub; it shifts perfectly and is matched well to the Superdelite.

How to adjust belt tension on Delite?

When you re-tighten the large torx screws use 15Nm torque (a T40 size). The "tensioner" has nothing to do with setting the actual belt tension. You need the rear wheel on the bike since the axle is what is actually being adjusted when you tighten the tensioning screws (3 mm allen key). As...

    Bags compatible with Superdelite rack

I have a Superdelite and purchased the Basil Miles MIK pack for the rear carrier. It is waterproof and fits/works perfectly for me. Regarding the dropper post - I do not have one and have no issues with reaching the ground when I come to a stop.

Known Issues & Problems with Riese & Müller Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

As with any bike (regular or eBike), you will need to carry out regular maintenance that is “normal wear and tear” therefore outside any warrant. If you are comfortable with maintenance (e.g.,brake pad replacement, belt tensioning, tire tube replacement) then as others have said it is worth...

R&M SD Belt keeps coming off

Alaskan - that is exactly the krikit that I purchased (Amazon for $28 CDN). There were others for way more money. I did not find the app all that successful.

R&M SD Belt keeps coming off

Adjusting the tension on the belt was very easy. Tools needed: torx T40, 3mm Allen key and gates krikit tension gauge (I purchased the “v-belt“ version on Amazon which is much cheaper than the one for the non v belt). First step measure the current belt tension (target tension is 28-40 lb)...

R&M SD Belt keeps coming off

Mike - I have also been looking for specific instructions with no luck but I did find a YouTube video showing the process on a different bike. My bike shop indicated that you need a T40 torx wrench for the screws on either side of the frame and they need to be tightened to 15 Nm torque when the...

R&M SD Belt keeps coming off

Mike - there are two large screws on either side of the rear frame where the wheel is attached (yellow arrow in picture). These need to be loosened to make the adjustment. The red arrow shows where the adjustment screw is located on either side of the frame (seen from the back). This will...

R&M SD Belt keeps coming off

I put 7400 km on my 2020 Superdelite Rohloff last year and towards the end of the season I was also experiencing the belt "slipping" while going up hills. It was easy enough to put the belt back on as you have found; however, based on a discussion with my bike shop and referring to the Gates...
