Jeremy, I understand your frustration with the Safe Zone. It is fiddly. Got my son to buy one but he abandoned it for that reason. I stuck with it and I have found it to be the most effective mirror because it minimizes the time my eyes are not looking forward and it has the best and clearest...
I've been transporting an R&M Nevo 3 between Upstate NY and Florida twice a year. With two overnight stops, I was always nervous even with multiple locks. So I just bought a Trek Allant 7s gen 2 and am leaving it in Florid. A plus for the new bike was its MIK compatible rack. So I tried to...
I too use Super Moto x tires and find them excellent on pavement. Also ride on dirt roads and some gravel and they're fine there. I have also found they wear very well and I ride a heavy e-bike. And as above poster stated, I doubt that the 0.05 inches will make a difference.
I have a R&M Nevo 3, a step through, and use a Thule EasyFold X2. The arm fastens to the seat post. Good carrier and Thule provided great post-purchase service. But in your case, the Bike Beam seems like the most economical solution.
Libby is a fine app. I'm too cheap to use Audible (he says after spending thousands on an e-bike). Only downside of Libby is selection from local library might be somewhat limited by the collection, especially when you click the "available now" filter.
I have the Basil bag: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075DKCKVX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I have found it very well made and meets all of my needs. The zippers seem fine and it does come with a shoulder strap. Snaps on and releases easily.
Congratulations on the new bike; love the color. I use a Garmin Varia, Mirrycle, and this helmet mirror https://www.amazon.com/EVT-Safe-Bicycle-Helmet-Mirror/dp/B003LVHZ4O/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1D7U8OCTLFEJ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.cAsDQVt0qEatIe5owHDr-kL4O11CcBgoUJkn. After some initial frustration with...
Do you know the total weight of your bikes? That would help narrow (or maybe eliminate) your choices. If the total weight is over the 185# as mentioned for four bikes in the above posting, you might have to consider a trailer.
Sorry, I can't answer your question, but I favor maximum visibility, including both headlight and rear light on all of the time. My lights are LED so battery drain is minimal.
One Mirrycles on left (US) under bar, one EVT Safe Zone helmet mirror, and Garmin Varia RTL 515. If I had to give up one, it would be the Mirrycles; the helmet mirror just requires a slight flick of the eyes and has the perfect field of vision. However, it does take a while to adjust properly...
I have an R&M Nevo 3. I have not found a need to retension the belt after replacing the rear wheel. That said, I do periodically check belt tension and adjust if needed. R&M has posted a video on the rear wheel removal:
The belt tension on my R&M Nevo 3 with enviolo was too high and causing problems. I now aim for about 40 pounds/18kg per the Gates chart: https://www.gatescarbondrive.com/resources/handling-and-tension. I have used both the Gates cricket and their app to measure tension. If you don't have a...
