My 10-yo Stromer ST1 battery is dying and I am thinking of getting a new bike since it'll probably cost less than all the service my bike needs at this point. I was thinking of getting another Stromer from Upway but just started looking at the Allant as well. How would you compare the 2 experiences?

In 2017 I bought a lightly used Stromer ST1 (vintage ca. 2014) from Craigslist and have loved it as a commuter bike. I live near Berkeley (east Bay Area CA), in a very hilly area. When I bought the ST1 there was one LBS in Berkeley (Huckberry) that serviced Stromers, but they have since closed...

In case you're still on this site, I just wanted to thank you for posting this. I removed the rear wheel, the washers fell out, and I could not figure out how to replace them until I found you post, and probably never would have. Woot!
