I used to switch to other content for the half time and hydration breaks.
I'm so glad Ferran scored the decider or we would be confronted with the disgusting penalty kick shootout, which is just a lottery. Fancy what would have happened if Spain lost on penalty kicks, being the dominating team for the entire match... I'm also happy no penalty kick was awarded, as it always leads to the suspicion.
Could not help noticing how brutal the South American teams had been, Argentina following Paraguay's example.

As Dave said, the event was co-hosted by Mexico, Canada and the United States. As of the teams, Mexico came 9th, the U.S. 12th, and Canada 14th.

I assume you asked the people of the U.S. You do not need to ask Europeans (like myself) or the British (where the association football was invented) or the rest of the world if they follow "soccer". They do, especially during the events such as World Cup or local championships such as Euros. I follow the Spanish La Liga myself and was pleased to see the players of normally competing teams to form the championship team that worked like a well oiled machine

Its also a class thing, I live in a more 'upmarket' area with an ivy covered private school that only plays Rugby.
