Elon apparently liked Iain Banks as a writer, probably because Banks gave his sentient spaceships fantastic names that Musk could nick. But weird to think about because Banks developed a utopian and clearly socialist future society called The Culture. Amazing books but I guess fascist Musk must not have understood what he was skim reading. Heaven forbid the likes of him ever read 1984, he would definitely see it as an instructional manual.

But now fully embraces it.
"I think it'll be good. Most likely it'll be good." But he didn't stop there. He followed up with the kind of comment only Musk could make with a straight face: "But I've somewhat reconciled myself to the fact that even if it wasn't gonna be good, I'd at least like to be alive to see it happen." So yes, even if AI wipes us all out—he still wants a ticket to the show.

I never really understood why they want these robots, but Ive just watched a vid explaining it, every stage of production is at least a million dollars and sometimes humans are cheaper and far more adaptable.
Thats why you see the robots practising doing jobs like moving parts from one belt to another.
These new robots can quickly learn to fill in and then move along and do a different menial task making them cheaper than humans and work 24/7, no HR, no pension, no health package, no human level safety protocols, no human level hvac, no canteen, no restrooms, no environment concerns, no duty of care or personal disputes.
No sexl advances or bullying.

Generally, I don't think autonomous humanoid robots have all that many industrial roles. Cheaper, more reliable robots are here already, copying humans in a robot form is just technological hubris.
Regardless, another steeper technological wave is about to engulf us humans (unless humanity blows up the world first.)
Kind of a lose/lose situation for the average person.

Other than putting a dangerous number of humans out of work, I think we have no idea where all this robotic and AI development will lead.

The Great Robot Uprising could be preceded by a series of great human uprisings in part put down by robots authorized to harm humans autonomously. Good way to thin the human population to make the world safer for the ruling oligarchs.

I thought that, but the economics work out, robotic assembley lines still needs lots of humans to do tasks that stationary robots cant.
Boston robots can jump in and out of spinning machinery and everything doesnt need to be built to human safety spec.

I remember seeing a schematic diagram of a motorcycle specifically designed for High Speed on the Autobaun.

The front wheel didn't pivot at the head tube.
It just moved "laterally" along the axle to the left and right and used "out-tracking" to lean the motorcycle into the corners.

They had to push the 🏍 in a straight line up to 20 or 30 mph before the out tracking steering started to work.

Can you give me a rough idea how my 36T chain ring connected to my 7-speed 11-34T freewheel will compare to the original 44T chain ring?

I've got 27.5" X 2.8" Schwalbe Super Moto-X tires.

I don't want to go over 20mph and risk $5,000 in fines, so will my gearing and BBS02B land me in jail, and my ebike confiscated?

Will I be able to go 2-3 hundred mph with 3000 Watts of Raw POWER available ??
