here the most households have a dedicated bikeshed/storage in the Netherlands. We store most of our bikes there, a few folding bikes are stored in house and the bikes at the datcha are also in a bikeshed. No electra in it so charging is under the popup tent on the patio or in the living area depending on the weather.
in area's as Amsterdam most people lock their urban bikes (the one you would take to the train station or the pub) to street furniture. The more expensive bikes live in the stairwell or on the balcony. Locking an E-Bike outside is tricky https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c771v2y078po
And yes, we have more bikes per person than the average here (which is 2.3 bikes per person)
That’s tricky for me. I like to periodically check on the battery while charging. I guess maybe I should just charge them in the garage and set a timer to check on them. Sometimes I think too much about stuff and it gets in the way of the other s*it I have to do.The most important things are to keep the batteries out of the living area,
Put the charger on a simple shutoff timer set to turn off in X amount of time. You'll learn to guess X pretty well....set a timer to check on them
That's what we do.guess maybe I should just charge them in the garage and set a timer to check on them.
Do you keep them on the truck rain or shine? My bikes live in the back of my pickup in an unattached garage. That way, the bikes are ready to go on a moments notice. The rack & bike slide out of the bed if I need the truck for another purpose. The batteries are stored separately in another heated / cooled garage.
