Day 6. The old riders best way forward. I’m waiting for their trike. Will kit it. 6 years of Townie and KHS builds for myself and customers. But IMO Day 6 outshines the other Flat Foot style frames. Completed trashed back and spine and still comfortable.

Looks like a practical trike for conversion, nice clean set up. More than I can say for my
gas/electric build in progress. All the wires in the harness are too long or too short. My
routing resembles the Gordian Knot. So ugly! The front wheel bafang kit looked so easy,
but it´s turned into a complete re-build, brakes, bb, shifters, bars, seat post & saddle, ad infinitum.
It would look pretty good except for the rat´s nest routing. I´m ashamed to post a pic.

How wide is the spacing of the rear wheels? Where I live the bike lanes are about 24 inches wide.

WOW!! I've never seen or heard of a 24" path! Day 6 is wider than most trikes and lower CIG making it one of the most stable at speed. But 38"! I'm shaking my head wondering why a 24" path! I'll use my step-through on low-speed bike/walking paths.

Nah! No reason to be. It's an adventure. I could write a ten-page essay on the adventure of my step through the scratch build and the crazy crap I went through. End the end it was an incredible learning experience. I'm somewhat saddened by having to move to a trike for year-round riding. But it should be a fairly clean build. @PedalUma is the master at making kits look factory-direct.

I like minimalist builds of all types and all colors. Using white wires was fun on the first bike. The second bike has a coaster brake. Polished cranks or a polished chainring can add some style.

I´d be plum tickled if it just works when I turn on the battery. Just that the bikes posted here are so
clean by comparison. Spent a good part of the day cleaning up the routing with....some success.
Caught a wiring mistake. Dashboard´s looks almost ready for my custom grips, gas throttle on
the right, e-throttle left. I don´t think ten pages would cover it this far,

Nothin wrong with the aethetic of those bikes. Can you tell me where to get some spiral
plastic cable wrap? It would greatly serve the appearance of my build.

Your local auto parts store will have a few different kinds. It could be an alternative to buying online without seeing and feeling the products. This is my cleanest build so far.

Your local auto parts store will have a few different kinds. It could be an alternative to buying online without seeing and feeling the products. This is my cleanest build so far.

I´ll look, routing gets a little busy with 2 different sources of power, but the challenge of a
300 mile range is worth exploring.

Not an issue the 40cc gas bike kit* functional already, 200+ mpg on the flat @ 14 to 18 mph,
3500 to 5000 rpm, Top spd pas, 36mph. Have 4 batteries,total 55AH, 500w bafang front kit
in progess. Will also have 2-whl drive. Stock tank 1 liter + mounted 3 liter jerry can.
50 to 65 mi. per liter. 24 spd, 42/34/24 chainrings with 8 spd 32/11 cassette. Pedals fairly
well without power in super low range, nearly effortless otherwise unless one wants
to work harder. will be using only an 8ah & 21ah, but can convert for the two 13ah as
well. I´m old, 25 mi. pedaling at a sitting is about my limit these days, but with this I can
tour as far as I can stand to throttles only. Ten minutes to refuel, 4 hrs. to charge. Compared to
a V-8 the carbon footprint is negligable. No range anxiety, no need for an 8´solar trailer.
*( modified for improved peformance ) I´m hoping to find a means of charging with the gas
engine, weight will be about as much a a 750w fat bike. the engine kit weighs about as
much as the 21Ah battery.
