Worth having a spare display?

Just wondered how often these fail? I have a DPC 14 and it has worked quite well so far. But with the supply chain issues and so on I don't want to be left in the lurch. Perhaps a better question would be what electronic parts do you keep spares of?

One of the reasons I like buying bikes built from generic (non proprietary)
parts is to minimize/eliminate worry regarding future replacements. To date, even if there is no direct replacement available, I've always been able to find something that will work.

Regarding the DPC 14, we're talking about a UART based Bafang mid drive, or Canbus?

I've never had a display fail. Generic replacements may not work as some companies use a proprietary protocol language between the display and controller. You may consider that any part can fail on a bicycle and do you buy 1 new of everything for just in case?
