Will Reention Polly DP9 fit RadRover 5?

Anybody know if Reention Polly would fit in the Rad Rover 5 frame?

It might be fine dimensionally, but the battery would need to slide up and down for install.. so I don't know how much room it would need.
I don't know how much room there is for extra large battery pack.

I dont think the frame has changed in that sense from 2017 and for 2017 that battery fits. You may need to fiddle little with the mounting screws for sturdy attachment.

I think mounting screw is going to be fine, as CitizenCycle (YouTube channel) tried it and working fine with 2 screws instead of 3.

So you have Reention Polly DP on your 2017 RadRover?
I just wanted to know because it's substantially bigger than stock Rad battery.

Citizencycle had the smaller battery installed. I have had G80 (16s5p Samsung 35E (60v 17.5Ah) case mounted before but not DP9. I do have seen DP9 installed on several RadRovers though. Three screws can be used by drilling one additional hole in the battery tray.
Currently I have my custom design and built 16s6p (60v 24Ah) 21700 Samsung 40T lockable downtube battery in use (120A continuous BMS).
This battery case could accomodate 52v 35Ah with Samsung 50E cells...

The G80 is 0.55 inch shorter than the Polly, so I was wondering if that would cause a problem.

DP-2170-5C (125mm) is not as tall as DP9 (141mm). In many frames the DP9 is just a little too high to fit. DP-2170-5C is more comparable in size with G80.

So, these 60v custom packs are without cell separators? 16s6p and 120A. Hopefully new to eBike readers learn to discern safest builds from custom “adventures”. If glued packs it’s a backwards return to Hailong shark cases that were glued packs to get 52V and highest Ah. I’m thinking that’s the wrong direction. Triangle custom packs with cell separation would be better/safer.

Not sure what you mean?
If you mean my packs? Older one is G80 case with 80pcs 18650 Samsung 35E (16s5p) 40A BMS.
New one is 21700 Samsung 40T 16s6p 120A BMS. This is 100% custom battery and casing. Pack welding and BMS installation done by local company (2 y warranty).

I have a 2018 Rover with all of the upgrades minus a new battery. I'm looking at a battery from UPP that is 52V 21ah and it looks like that battery on your Rad. According to two different spec sheets, it's 140-141mm tall. I'm hesitant to order it because it clearly states no returns once opened. Is your battery a UPP and does it go on and off freely, or is it razor thin and you have to beat it around your frame to remove and install it? Also, does it have any wobble or rattle in it from being so top heavy? I had intended all along to go with the UPP 52V 17.5ah battery (110mm tall) but they have a great sale on the larger one right now. Wouldn't be much of a bargain if it didn't fit though! lol

I heard this was for a triangle battery, not all of the batteries. But still.

My main battery is fully custom design and build. I'm using additional G80 pack attached to fast locking rear rack for range extender. DP9 is right squeeze but can be fitted.

I really think I'll be fine with a 52V 17.5 Do you happen to know what this means? (Recommended max discharge current for each cell type) I just copied and pasted that. But I see specs like this when looking at batteries. I only know that I'd like a 52V with more amp hours than I had stock (14) So probably a 17.5ah for a guaranteed fit. Other than that, I don't know much about batteries. I have a 2018 Rover with the 35 amp controller/display and 750 motor upgrades. My battery is really starting to show it's age, at just shy of 30,000 miles. So my biggest wish is for another (safe) battery with incredible longevity and a boost in performance. When I shop for batteries I see things like (constant discharge current) and listed at 30A, 35A, 40A, 45A and 50A. And then there are the cell types, being Panasonic, LG, Samsung, ect. I see some batteries list charge cycles too. Some list at 800 cycles at 80% and over 1000 total and others at 500-700 cycles. I'm just clueless about the specs and would appreciate any help you can offer based on my bike, upgrades and riding style. I like speed an power, but I always use it sparingly, so to have the volts available for more random opportunities, versus all out throttle or PA5. 90% of my riding is actually in PA1 with throttle assist when wanted.
