While law enforcement

I just bought an while with 28mph limit on the assist instead of the 20 mph limit. I live in Oregon. What are limits in Oregon? Are these enforced? I ride about 15 mph and wonder how or why I would face enforcement problems.

You're not going to have any problems with leos as long as you don't ride like a jerk. Cruising along the multi paths at 15mph (or less when crowded) is not going to make you stand out at all. Get a nice bell and give the peds a nice courtesy ring as when riding over the Burnside Bridge. Just treat pedestrians and dog walkers like you would like to be treated if you where in their place. Out on the roadway even in bike lanes let 'er rip to 28mph just be cool and don't run signals and at least slow down at stop signs. Oh yeah, try to stay off the throttle (if you have one) as peddling makes you look like a real bike. Have fun!

All good points except for I would come to a complete stop at a stop sign not slow down for one. Bicycles are to follow the same law as a motor vehicle therefore you have to come to a complete stop if a cop sees you you will get a ticket for that. I also ride at 15mph the bike will do 33.2 but I have no place to get to in a hurry. Great thing is where I live if I chose to do so the speed limit is 30mph in this area, but ill stick to a safe 15 to 18 mph.
