I own an ET Cycle F1000 and a Townie E7 and am having problems selecting a bike rack for our vehicle. Because the F1000 is a fat tyre bike with a V frame nobody wants to make recommendations. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Because the F1000

I have a Thule Easy Fold. The place where the tires sit is fairly wide and the bike is secured by a device that grabs the frame and with short straps that grab the rims. It’s very high quality and also expensive, $700 roughly going by memory. It’s also the hitch style so it fits in the receiver of a pickup or a car.

I think Thule offer longer straps after market to support fat tires, best check that first.

Have one of these racks, expensive but worth every penny. So easy to use. Can have rack and 2 bikes on back of car plus locked in 2-3minutes. Other plus is it folds up for easy storage in garage or boot of car.
See the youtube videos.

For best security buy locking pin for hitch. That includes towballs that are on a hitch. When traveling I'll cover bikes and back car up to wall or hedge to make things harder for thieves.
