Stromer V1 (precursor to ST1)

Coming from rear wheel. Does not change if pedaling or coasting. Does not change if braking. Changes repetition rate with velocity. Goes away with bike on stand, or if I get off the seat and lean forward while coasting.

Inaccurately characterized as rattle/grind noise that is periodic with each wheel rotation I am thinking rear bearing, but bike does not have that many miles (under 500) so it seems unlikely.

Tires have proper pressure.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

It does not seem to be the valve stem. I heard there was some problems with early stromer motors. Where those problems mechanical or electrical?

This has the 300rpm high torque motor.

Okay, plausible for sure. The wheel spins true... what am I looking for.. a loose spoke?, improper seating on the rim?

To follow up and close this out. While at the time I reported this the spokes were all equally tensioned, not too long after, the head broke off one of the spokes where it attaches to the hub. It was probably nearly broken and what I was hearing was the early warning bells.
