You Guys have sold Me on "Johnny Watts", are they available in 559 rim size, if not what is close to their performance?.(I have looked and looked and have a hard time finding the info)

I think the Rubans might be comparable, and they can me mounted tubeless.

Apparently the "Rubans" are not availible in 559, Continental has some pretty nice tires in 559.

2 other tires, both pretty popular, also with low rolling resistance, that you might want to check out are the Schwalbe "Big Apple" in 26 x 2.35 and the Schwalbe "Super Moto X" in 26 x 2.4

Both designed to run lower pressure with minimum rolling resistance (great ride!).

Thank you, because I can actually find these tires! and on my steel frame, this just might be the ticket( its rather strange how much tires play into the whole experience) I have a hunch these tires can also work well on my rims. Found the "Pacestar" equipped "Rock Razor" on the "Schwalbe site" I will probably need a bit more traction for a powered front wheel- on the other hand the "Big Apple" has a lot of merit.I can get either one for around $50( it may be a toss-up) It seems the "SMX" is not available in 559 flavor.

I got tired of the stiff Marathons everyone was raving about. They throw a (high frequency) jolt up through the frame on every crack or irregularity in the pavement. They roll easy for sure, but the ride is terrible compared to the Super Moto X and the Big Apple. Those tires look like the balloon tires we used to ride with on our bikes back in the 50's and 60's.

Currently testing to see just how efficient the new tires are, judged by how many miles I can get on a charge. I used to keep the Marathons at 55-60 psi, these new tires seem to like 35-45 psi. so a big, very noticeable difference in ride. I'd like to get a good average going over several charges. Only 2 charges to date, but looking very good. Not far off the Marathon's at all. Even if they do prove to be a little less efficient, that would be a cheap price to pay for the difference in ride (for my purposes anyway). We'll see here soon.... -Al

Well you have my interest,if I change the front fork to a 26" hubmotor, the Big Apple is the one I will try.
