Watching the peloton - Professional Road Racing thread 2026

More carnage at the Giro. Yates looks horrible but wants to continue. Smart decision to neutralize. Let's see if they lift it for the finish.

He's in the ambulance now. Out of the race. Terrible cut behind his ear. Jay Vine also out of the race.

Definitely going to stop talking about crashing... not superstitious but.

Horrible crash.

Just replayed it. f*ck. Yates slid into the barrier, head smacking right into the barrier post. Could be a bad head injury. Certainly concussion.

Yates had one of the best chances to beat Jonas. He's won it before. UAE losing two of their best is not good for UAE. I'm sure that they will be OK after a month but who knows.

I know were in Bulgaria but this greasy descent through this town is very Giro style, narrow twisty, greasy,

Clean finish. Jonas rode super smart. He did not need the stage win at this point, but if it presented itself, he would have gone for it.

XDS Astana rider Guillermo Thomas Silva - from Uraguay. He's over the moon!

Really pleased young Irish climber Darren Rafferty (EF) made that front group. I didn't realise Carapace is not riding the Giro, so who is GC leader in EF?

Marc Soler transported after appearing to cause the crash from his front wheel washing out. It happens in these conditions. Not his fault. Cepeda is wearing the 41 for EF, so he might be the GC priority.

All to develop if today is anything to go by.
