I looked into the BEAMts in 2014, I wanted to add it to the bike I had then. I tried to buy one then and ran into problems and eventually gave up. I really thought it was a great idea, but haven't heard anything about the sensor or the company since ~2015.

Does your hand bike have a standard bottom bracket like a pedal bike? There are some good bottom bracket torque sensors available.

You might get some suggestions on how to add a torque sensor to your bike if you tell us a little more about the bike. Maybe some pictures would help.

Does the bike have standard dropouts? Maybe something like a TMM4 torque sensor would work? They have been used on a lot of bikes, like Stromer, BH, Easy Motion, etc...

This is my handbike with new assist

this was prior re-build

with built in torque sensor.

I have been in touch with Idbike about the TMM4 sensor but it won't fit on my drop outs!
