(US,Mpls, Mn) Selling my Tandem Electric Bike

I have a Northwood Tandem Bike that I have converted to a 29-inch electric bike for my wife and I. It’s an excellent ride with wide seats and we have enjoyed the smooth powerful ride. It rides up hills as if they were not there. I am only selling it to make room in my garage for a new project. It has lots of upgrades and accessories included. This bike frame is very durable and can easily handle up to 550 pounds.

Here is a list of the upgrades:

1. Wider seats for easy riding
2. Extended hand position bars
3. Pedal assist and manual throttle
4. Waterproof Pannier bags
5. 48 V battery with Charger
6. 29-inch wheels
7. Electronic display screen
8. Upgraded braking system.

Thanks, I converted it over the winter to give my wife and I a way to stay health in the summer months. I did not take into account that her enthusiasm for biking did not match my own. Oh well!

I have not taken the tandem on any long rides but, I have set the peddle assist to level-1 and it will kick us up to 13-14 mph for at least 10 minutes before, one of the power level bars start to flash as if it will start to go away. So with that being said, I imagine that we could peddle for about an hour or for 12 to 14 mile before the battery would be depleted of usable power.

Wow! I guess added rider and bikes overall weight really makes a difference. Im thinking a 20-25 ah battery would be needed to get to 20mi. Thanks Ben, appreciate the info. Of course the beauty of a hub and stoker is off-motor riding on flat ground extends any range. Kinda how we do it now on our individual eBikes.
