Hey I can't mount my battery inside my frame. The gap is too small. I mounted it upside down with some hose clamps, and backup velcro incase the hose clamps brake. Do you think this is fine?
As long as you have is secured well there shouldn't be a problem. You might want to consider a fender for both wet and dry to keep rain, spray with road muck and trail dust from the front tire off the pack.
