Does anyone know how waterproof is the Juggernaut Ultra motor? Can you ford a stream that comes up partway on the motor housing? Or can the motor be submerged for a few seconds, enough to cross a small stream? Does the motor housing have an IP rating? Thanks.
Thanks Roshan - here is a definition of IP65 enclosures I found elsewhere.
IP65 Enclosures
Able to protect against water jets Water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects. Test duration: at least 15 minutes Water volume: 12.5 litres per minute Pressure: 30 kPa at distance of 3 m
In other words no submersion - as Roshan says.
TForan - We have been on some very rough logging and mining roads so far - steep and loose rock. The bikes are very capable - no problem at all. We are learning as we go just how rough we can handle. Going up is easier than going down. Sure do not want to spill in rocks. We had the opportunity to cross a creek over 12 inches deep but no go if the motor is only an IP65 rating.
