People either write posts because they are happy with and proud of their e-bikes or want to discuss the issues. I was surprised as well. It would be more interesting to make the 2019-only report to see what was the most discussed in the last year. The position of TREK in the list is quite interesting. As for a Big Three company, it generated relatively small number of messages. Perhaps because the Trek e-bikes are trouble free? Same for Giant?

You might be right on your hypothesis... not much to talk about when the bike is trouble-free. ;)

some of these brands have been around or in the US a lot longer than others .... and some of them are no longer around or have been purchased, rebranded etc ... so perhaps a function of the brands longevity as well as popularity.

Off Topic: Stefan, in your your new tag photo are you receiving a ticket? Maybe for your clothing being too distracting? LOL
Ah, Dave! That's a popular meme in Poland now. The public access to recreation places was banned almost two weeks ago in my country. That made people unhappy, so the meme "put some funny picture with the policeman overlay" went viral 🤣 I chose mine in the yellow reflective clothing as it creates a comic effect. I'm changing the profile photo very soon. Fortunately, the Government is lifting the ban on this Monday; you'll have to wear a face mask instead.

Stefan, I did a similar thread exactly an year back. Did my thread inspired you or it was just your own curiosity ? It must be an European thing, i'm also from that continent.

There are some ommisions on your. Ex: Easy motion also appears as BH in other threads. And there are few other ebike brands like that.

Back when i did it, Radpower/Juiced were in top3 , BH 4th, then Trek, Giant, etc

STROMER- 751
RADPOWER-610
SPECIALIZED-490
JUICED-458
BH/EASY MOTION- 353(counted for Bh threads and E. M threads)

HAIBIKE-332
8FUN-198
IZIP-196
PEDEGO-133
RIESE&MULLER-114

Slowly making progress BIKTRIX -111, VOLTBIKE-107 then GIANT, TREK (close to 100).

Stefan, Looks like the top spots are the same 😉.

Exclusive FREE market insight tip: looks like Giant clearly dominates over Trek.
Giant close to 100threads back when i did the market research , NOW IT HAS 250 threads vs. TREK (100 '19 and 170 an year later)

Their prices are much better, and maybe also better reliability ?

Also amazing is that R&M from 10th or 11th place is now at over 240threads.. clearly people are buying high quality. This is an international forum !
If Stromer exits ebike business, the hi end market is to R&M ONLY. Amazing....

Another market research insight tip:
Specialized clearly will get into top3 in few months at least for the threads count...due to their imensely popular and vastly superior CREO road Ebike.

The project ebikes that had the Fazua system are evidently not popular. People want speed and big battery.

Trek does have the dry carbon 28mph DOMANE +HP but people don't know it.
TREK , send me a private message for my shipping adrress , i will review your 28mph e road bike 🚴🏻‍♂️Ex cat.2 , and other bike stuff history.

+HP vs. CREO :
One quick note- Bigger and easier to handle battery for Trek and also an Xhra 625WH battery.

In my travels around these parts I would rank these off the top of my head ( I do not keep stats ) as the most often sighted by me ,myself and I: Radpower , followed by Voltbike, then it would be close between Giant and Trek and then perhaps Magnum. Next might be Specialized then Cube then Haibike. After that it gets fuzzier. Perhaps Juiced would be next and then Gazelle.Oh and I see Yuba cargo bikes too. Finally there are the local bikes such as Surface 604 ,Norco ,Ohm , Motorino, and Ebike BC kits and other Canadian brands like Devinci and Evo. I have only encountered a half dozen R + M's and I think two Stromers and a single solitary Moustache. I do not recall seeing even one Bulls. What do you say Captain Slow ? How does this order align with what brands you most often encounter?
