I measure the cost of my equipment by a very simple method. Take the buy in and divide by the usage. My bion x 500 powered bike cost me including tax and some extras about 4500. It just turned over its first 1000 kilometers used mostly as a commuter. Minus the parking fees I did not have to pay of about 500 and say 200 for the gas sapvig and it comes to 3800 which means so far about $3.80 per kilometer. Of course the 2nd 1000 kms will bring that to $1.90 so its only gonna get better. And thats not even factoring in the exercise value which has been fantastic.
