Trike came today.

The Buzz trike came today and boy was it damaged, I was under the impression it was supposed to be on a pallet( it was just sat on one not attached) The "back" of the shipping box was broken( should have been a clue) the front dropouts were actually sticking through the box, The rear fender on one side was jammed in against the tire, the front Fork is knackered beyond repair
Since these were in stock in the USA I assumed I would get an unblemed unit( wrong again), they must have tested the trike( or it was a return, the brake rotors looked like they had been used and one of the tires looked kind of dirty on the tread( that happened on another bike I had bought as well)
I do not think I will buy online again, will have to see what the company does about the damage( there are some peculiarities about this bike as well,I think it will be alright if the new undamaged fork is sent.

Bummer. I hope they get you straightened out in short order.

Thank you, except for the Disc brakes this fork looks exactly like the one on my "Ecotric Peacedove" except it isn't steel{I like steel on a utility bike} My Daughter sent the pictures I took of the damage to my email,I can now forward them to "Buzz Ebikes'-Kevin

Hope they fix you up well. My wife's eTrike came in a heavier cardboard box than I've ever seen and was truck shipped from Las Vegas to Biloxi without a scratch. I cut up the box and am gonna save it for . . . . something 🤣 It's heavier duty than a sheet of 1/4 inch plywood!

Don

My bike seemed to be packed indifferently, I am wondering if this was a return that somebody just shoved to the dock, the rotors looked to have scuffing on them,I got another bike that looked like somebody else had their hands on it one time as well( finally got it pretty well straightened out), you have to wonder what they do with returned things-at least they could say refurbished)
I wish the crew at "Lectric' would bring out a trike, the success they had with their folders, would almost guarantee a winner at an affordable price point.

This is not good, the trike didn't even have the 'spreader bolted in the fork, could I have received someone's reject? Hopefully the rest of the trike is good and I can fix it, the thing is thats not the way to do business. I realize its a bit early, no response from email or Facebook( yes they are on Facebook)

word of advice, if a package comes damaged, any package but most especially a bike that cost a couple grand, refuse the package based on the damage.

you are not required to accept damaged goods and that holds the shipping company liable. the moment you accept the likelihood of getting any positive results from the shipping company go to zero.

yep,I naively assumed that everything was alright- still think it was a returned unit" Haven't heard a word from "Huffy"( the parent company) I guess these fellows took the money and ran, its about time to start a negative campaign against this company on "social media" on the other hand if it was the fault of Fedex that can be another matter( the background of "crickets chirping' is rather disheartening.
The trouble with all this is you cannot tell something is damaged until you unpack it, now I hear you have to pay for the shipping on a returned unit.
Huffy and Fedex both are going to be informed.

You would want to deal with the Fedex driver if the package is showing a lot of external damage - clearly a mishandling issue - or possibly the results of stacking. Get the driver to make a note indicating the package was damaged on arrival - prior to accepting the package.

If the damage isn't obvious until it's unpacked, Fedex had nothing to do with that. That would be the seller/shipper's issue - improperly packed or preexisting damage.

Thank you AHicks its" water over the dam now", I was in such a hurry to unload the bike unto my pickup and sneak it home( away from"she who must be obeyed" watchful gaze) that the real damage was not obvious till I was able to unbox the thing,I cannot find the ticket now( I did sign it) so maybe that rules that out.Upon examination, the threaded rod that these bikes come with to protect the forks was missing and one of the tires seemed to have been rolled around a bit(soiled) and the brake rotors look scuffed up, I am wondering if someone didn't pull a fast one on Me.
I have notified 3 parties with ties to the bike, if that doesn't work then I will give a scathing review on social media( I can fix the trike myself-that is irrelevant)

That was kinda my point. If you saw no damage until unboxing, there can't be much of a beef with Fedex? They did their job.

If it was allowed to rattle around inside the box, or regarding what appear to be used parts or "refurbed" product, that's between you, the seller, and (hopefully?) your credit card company. If you can't get any satisfaction with the seller, file a claim with the credit card company. They'll reverse the charges if you tell them the product was received damaged and the seller refuses to cooperate. THEN see what the seller does..... Pretty sure you'll see much more cooperation - soon!

Thank you for being a Friend AHicks, its rather chilly and raining off and on here.I decided to go take another gander at my trike, heres what I found out, the reason it got damaged was that someome hastily threw most of the stuff back in the flimsy box, there are many scuff and assembly marks on the Bike the tools are missing the tires have dirt on them the brake rotors are scuffed and I am almost scared to power it up, the reason the fork got damaged was that didnt have the cushion and protective threaded rod spreader( grrrr!) , funny thing looks like the 3 inch tire is mounted on a 25 mm rim hence the round profile and the 20x2.25" on the back are on fattire rims( I am not making this stuff up!) So if Huffy, Buzz ,Buzz Bicycles dont help me -Chase Manhatten is going to issue a chargeback and I am starting to believe that something Fishy has been in the "BeeHive"-Kevin

As Columbo sez"One other thing", the Guy I was corresponding with seems to be nowhere around, He was ever diligent when trying to make the sale, this further erodes my faith in the Human race.

I had a similar issue with a Chinese dealer a few years ago. It wasn't over anything this big or expensive, but he put me on ignore while I was trying to resolve the issue. That's a really bad plan for folks dealing with me, as I had the charges reversed within a day or so. He finally called me and asked "what do you want?". I said "NOTHING, I have your product, and my money. What do YOU want? He told me he wanted his product back. I told him I'd be happy to return it - at HIS expense! He hung up on me, and I was fine with that..... -Al

This has nothing to do with ebikes, but I did have a funny, and annoying, transaction a couple years ago. I ordered a solar panel directly from China, and received a skate board. I had no use for the skateboard, though my grandson (about 6 or 7 at the time) wanted it. He had seen You Tube video of guys shooting at high rates of speed down curvy mountain roads lying prone on skateboards. He demonstrated for me that he wanted to emulate this insanity. No way that's happening, I thought. To straighten out the mess, I had to photograph the skateboard and email to the vendor. He asked me to sell the skateboard (worth $25 according to him), and send him the money. So I advertised it on Craigslist, and got the $25, which I passed on to the vendor.

So as you can see, I'm not such a bad guy in spite of what my friends say.

I tell you this, thats the why I feel,if they want it back they will have to send new packing and a shipping label, its crazy,I have handled a good many of those things and proper packing and all the parts shows.

My "FB" had some marks on it and a very cheap controller at least the vendor sent me a new high-quality controller which solved the problem as opposed to the Eahora Bike which cost me another $80 to solve the problem( no more Eahoras for me- Yamee yes if I take a shine to some more of their products) Businesses can be destroyed Overnite with a bad attitude, this Vendor here is going to get very bad reviews if they do not deal with the problem, it is an insult to be sold a used or returned product for new, I could understand if you were offered a healthy discount and it was upfront.I buy blemished and refurb tools all the time from "Tools Direct" and have never had a problem-Kevin

The saga continues
I finally was able to get ahold of the CC company and Huffys answering machine, it appears that "Huffy" has been absent since Thursday May 27th, so I will give them another chance, if no satisfaction on 06/01/2021 then I will definitely get the "chargeback" started, looks like they could have answered on Wednesday, till then my $1600 is in Limbo( grrr- these days its the customers fault if they buy a product- Hope Tesla treats Me better on the "CT" or it may be "Lightning" time.

Well Cameron Hahn came through and of course they are blaming the shipping companyimage_67204609,this image shows the major damage. Now I am trying to repack the brokem box, they will arrange shipping( the bike actually has "quill steering)
