I toted my first kid on a 10 speed and one of those bike seats back when Jimmy Carter was beating on rabbits in his canoe. When Reagan came in, I used it for my 2nd kid until old Ronnie got senile. As the kids get big, they unbalance the bike a lot, but you know where the kid is. Mine had enough brackets to attach to a spartan 10 speed, which didn't have any of the bosses and screw holes for racks like we see on modern bikes.
Now I'm as old as Reagan was. Any e-bike can easily pull a trailer and I do with my grandkid, but you don't know if they jumped out or whatever because it's so easy to pull. I added an extra mirror to keep tabs on her. WIth a hubmotor, you have to take some care with the axle nuts. They're designed to hold with regular bike skewers or 10mm nuts. I don't know if the trailer attachment will allow a 12mm ebike nut. If the motor cable comes out on that side, it might also make the installation take longer. I use mine with a mid drive.
The pull-along is nice because it doesn't disturb the hub and will also develop bike skills but younger kids could fall off?
