This past weekend I watched this Netflix documentary that goes over the circumstances that led to her death in 2023. Mo was a promising, young gravel racer who ended up dating Colin Strickland, a well known, successful gravel racer. I knew of this situation and followed it while it was going on, but this adds a lot of detail that was glossed over by news reports. It is a very sad and tragic story that ironically has a common theme. If you are interested, it is well worth the watch. Bring tissues.

I remember reading one of the deep dive newspaper stories about it at the time, might have been in the Newyorker. Awful and pretty hard to believe. Coming from Ireland its another reason I'm glad handguns are banned, of course in her jealous rage she might have stabbed her or used some blunt instrument but the simple ease of pulling the trigger in a blind rage with such awful immediate result is just such a tragedy. A terrible waste of a young gifted life. Three lives ruined really. Not sure he covered himself in glory either.

He lied during his first police interrogation. When asked if there were guns in the house, he said that there was one, his, and it had never been fired. When asked again later, he revealed that there were two, and that the other one belonged to Kristin. He should have gone to jail as an accessory to murder, but he was never charged. He got out of racing and has not returned.

Yeah seem to remember there was also something about him buying the 2 guns as presents ; one for him and one for her. How romantic.

That documentary was incredibly heavy. It really highlights how many details get missed in the initial news cycles. Such a heartbreaking loss for the racing community.

The Moriah Wilson documentary truly captured the heartbreaking tragedy and resilience in the cycling community, leaving me reflective long after it ended. To shift from those heavy emotions into something lighter, I tried casino bonus for a refreshing break filled with fun challenges and bonuses. The engaging sessions brought smiles and a couple of rewarding moments that boosted my mood instantly. It created a nice balance helping me appreciate life's ups alongside the downs. Now I see it as a smart way to unwind positively after intense stories like this.
I watched the documentary recently and the whole story is honestly just tragic from every angle. What happened to Moriah Wilson was heartbreaking, especially considering how talented and well-liked she seemed in the cycling community. The Netflix doc did a pretty good job showing how obsession and jealousy can spiral completely out of control.
