After much discussion, I have narrowed the choice down to these 2 bikes.

Thanks again for everyone who provided information. I may need some stealth when riding MTB trails until the dust settles on these bikes on the mountain bike trails.

Both are fantastic bikes. I have ridden them both and really loved it.
Yamaha Pw-X is a fantastic motor, so is Brose S drive. I personally like the quiet and smooth torque sensor on the Brose S closely followed by Yamaha Pw-X.
The biggest + of the Atom Lynx is the battery. At 700whr, you will be able to go distances that won't be possible on Bosch or Yamaha 500whr packs.

Also, if you are looking for very nuanced, fine difference, the Split Pivot suspension design on the Atom Lynx isolates the effects of bumps better than the Haibike.
Don't get me wrong, Haibike has great componentry and rides really well but if you get into super fine details, then Split pivot design has an upper hand.

Both batteries are expensive and always go for the largest battery size. You will not regret it.
