Has anyone upgraded the rear cassette to a 11-42, 11-46?
Going to try this out and looking for advice or tips.
The stock 34 just can't cut the mustard on my hills.

it depends on if your derailleur can handle the range. I took my tandem to the shop so they could check and i just had them do it so they could adjust the derailleur. but this a Bosch powered bike right? do you know the chain ring size? that may be the way to go go smaller.

I want the best of both worlds. Running a 22 tooth chainring, on a 11-34 rear cassette. Hills are a tough on this arrangement. Concern here though is a 20" rear wheel brings the derailleur cage down pretty low already on 34 tooth gear, so a 42 might create a clearance issue. Factory setup was for flat city commuting obviously.
