Switch front and rear hand brake

I received the Wallke X3 Pro about 3 weeks ago. I'd like to switch the left (front) and right (rear) brake handles so that the front brake is activated by the right handle. I was hoping that Wallke would have a video addressing this on the Wallke YouTube channel. They have lots of short videos that provide great information but how to do this is not one of them. Can someone provide a detailed step-by-step explanation or video to address this? This must be a fairly common problem.

Thanks in advance

I have the same setup from Wallke.

You can either:

1. Switch the brake lines. — which would mean you need to bleed the brakes — buying a brake bleed setup and watch YouTube videos on how to bleed bike brakes

2. Swap the brakes - the brake reservoir would be upside down - some Wallke owners, did this step and there was no loss in braking power

3. Leave it alone and make sure LEFT is always back brakes.

I chose 3. :)

Based on your answer, i will be happy living with the current configuration. I read somewhere that the way it's currently configured is the European configuration. Thank you for the thorough, knowledgeable answer.

I will suggest my colleague to provide a detailed step-by-step explanation or video about switching the brake. Thank you for your great suggestions.

Max, that would be great. Are you still with wallke? I see you have solved many issues in this forum as I have been reading quite a bit looking for answers. I am having trouble with some issues that I would like help on. Is there a way to request your help specifically? Thanks. X3 Pro delivered May 2021.

they had the front on the left hand because that was most peoples weaker hand so you did not over brake Newer brakes have sort of made that obsolete but it is pretty standard.

for most bike the reason has front on the left, is that is the side the disc is on, so it makes for a shorter line from the front caliper to the handlebars with no cross over to the right side needed.

all my e-bikes came in this configuration and since I ride a motorcycle I find it annoying, so I have had them switched, which as stated requires a longer line for the front brake. I choose to have a bike shop do it $35 for the labor and line.
