HI, I just bought a Haibike trekking 9.0 and am looking for a bike rack for it that will hold it and another bike.
Suggestions please and thank you.

I've been able to make it work with a trunk rack, but I have to lighten the e-bike first. I use a Saris Bones trunk rack. I'd recommend going with a hitch rack if you have a tow hitch on your vehicle.

There are many good receiver hitch racks out there depending on your total bike weight. Some are pricey though.

Lately, I've been seeing quite a few of these: https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200696941_200696941

If you have a receiver hitch and are handy with tools, it might be an option. It's less than $90 and can be used for other cargo. Most just use Velcro straps to hold bike tires to the rack mesh and bungees to keep them upright. A side ramp makes loading easier by just rolling the bikes up onto the rack without lifting.

After some research, I went with a Hollywood Bike Rack. It will carry two Ebikes, up to 80 pounds each. It is not a “small rack” and it doesn’t fold very small. It is built very well. I have done two trips with it already. One 700+ mile with my Specialized Turbo Como 3.0 and one 200+ with mine and my friends Como as well. I bought it on Amazon and it was easy to assemble. Also easy to load the bikes and holds them securely. Both times is worked awesome.

I have a Hollywood rack for two fat tire bikes. I only use one slot but expect to occasionally use both. I'm very happy with the choice. There are some other nice racks out there though.

As for the cargo tray, bungies aren't going to hold a bike in place! You could probably come up with something that would work if have enough extra metal and you can weld, grind, cut, and drill well enough but a Hollywood rack would probably end up being cheaper and probably have a much greater peace of mind level.
