Subaru integrated bike rack concept - plus Subaru ebikes?

They are beautiful looking but look way too aggressive for most riders to be comfortable on and those carbon wheels are probably $5,000/pair and make no sense given that weight is not really that big of factor on an ebike (the industry has been in the weight is the only thing that matters paradigm for 50 years and it's just hard for bike companies to reprogram themselves).
I tend to not like big LCD displays on ebikes so I do like the minimalist design of that control panel. I just get a kick out of those ebikers that feel they need to see as many parameters displayed as possible (I've always thought that showing off a big display was just about making up for something else).

The rack is interesting. Not my cuppa tea (because I like my bike inside my electric car where it is safe and not affected by travel debris) but I still find Subaru's rack design innovative and unique.
Their bikes (to my eye) look too much like some futuristic THX 1138 movie version electric motorcycle with pedals.

I like the idea of the rack. It would be really nice for a lot of people.
It's hard to tell a lot about the bikes from the pics, other than what they look like, but I tend to agree with Readytoride. I might not mind having or at least riding one but the Euro/futuristic look would take some getting used to for me.

I'd hate to know what the repair bill would be when your bumper/rack gets crunched in a rear-ender, not to mention the damage and costs to any bikes that would be on that rack. That's what I love about my Honda Element. I don't need to attach a rack because the bike rides inside, where there is no worry about damage, and it is more secure from thieves as well.
