Who knew this was even a thing but apparently a British scientist reported in 2016 that facilities for cyclists “resulted in a measurable pollution increase” as “traffic comes to a standstill.”

A recent article in Forbes.com features a Portland, OR study that disputes this; https://www.forbes.com/sites/carlto...motorists-pointless-finds-study/#36b069ea1e3e . The study concluded “Bicycles are not likely to lead to reduced passenger car travel speed, despite their differences in performance capabilities.”

Thoughts?

I am so relieved to hear that riding my bike has finally been cleared of the potential too cause traffic to come to a standstill.

I will sleep better knowing this. Thank You.
