Stock Lighting

Hi,
I haven't ridden at night yet and I'm curious about lighting. It appears we have a headlight powered by the main power cell and that that headlight does not have a bright/dim switch. I'm ok with that BTW, as I don't ride much at night.

Mine also came with a small rubber mounted red tail light with off/steady/flash modes and a bolt mounted reflector/taillight with on off capability only.

I was looking to see if the last item had a flash mode too. Does this match what is in your package too?

This is not a complaint at all as standard lighting is a good feature to have on my bike instead of having had to go buy some for the occasional time when I do ride at night.

There is only ON or OFF, no flashing, for both front and rear lamp, both from the same manufacturer Spanninga. Only the front is powered by main battery, the rear is powered by 2 x AA batteries.

The little one is for the seat post, ON, OFF, Flashing. In my case since I have a bag, it's difficult to see. But since it's Rubber mounted, I may try to put it elsewhere, like the left or right rear fork...

I added a front handlebar mounted multi mode lamp, with an external power pack. I use the flashing all the time, to be seen as I do not do any night riding, well not currently.

With hindsight, I probably should have bought the one @america94 and a few others got, but it works well.

I like the look of your light and was quite interested in it when shopping... there was something about the look and it just hit me:

Watched that movie a billion times with my son when he was little :) This is the one with one high beam and one low beam correct?
Funny you say that....when I first saw the light I thought of the movie Short circuit, lol! Very similar looking robot:)

Yes, 5 modes:
1. High beam spot
2. Low beam spot
3. High beam both lamps flood + spot
4. Low beam as above
5. Flashing mode

I tied the rechargeable (mini USB) battery pack under my front bar, but will put it in my little triangle bag I ordered when it's in.

Very versatile.

FYI, With a light mounted high, in a daylight strobe pattern you are blinding the oncoming obstacle, even more so at night! I was asked to get a pulse not strobe and keep it low as possible
