Steps 6100 - significant motor resistance pedaling when off

Because you try to accelerate. You need to put a lot of power to gain momentum on a heavy bike.

No as I said previously, it's not due to bike weight.

Hi. Did you learn what was causing this? I've been having this on and off the last week as well, and agree that this is certainly not due to bike weight!

Nope. Its not a terribly big deal, since I never ride it when its off anyways, and it hasn't seemed to impact it any way.
Its just pretty unridable when its off.

That's a shame. I have a Steps 6100 on my Kona Dew-e and I frequently ride it in off mode with no problem.
